PAST EVENT :

Risky Summerbee & the Honeythief
“The Rise and Fall of a Scoundrel Queen”

Psychedelic, folk and experimental outfit, Risky Summerbee & the Honeythief, have gone beyond their comfort zone of the ‘easy on ears folk/blues’ repertoire, and opted for an hour avant-garde psychedelic performance involving a string quartet (F# String quartet). The concert also bought visual works by The Departure a.k.a. Raphael Donny in line with the 5 parts composition. The band only introduced two of their hits ‘The Place I Wanna Go’ at the very beginning and ‘Slap & Kiss’ at the very end. In between was the journey of the contemporary Hastinapura Palace with partial interpretation of Mahabarata epic. ‘The Rise and Fall of a Scoundrel Queen’ featured Risky Summerbee (vocal/guitar/harmonica), Erwin Zubiyan (guitar), Doni Kurniawan (bass), Nadya Hatta (piano/keyboard), Sevri Hadi (drums), Kelik Desta Rahmanto (violin), Budi Hast (viola), Harel Arganata (violin) and Yoppie Eddo (cello).
